BW12 is based on Realtek RTL8710BX high integration low power WIFI system chip. The chip contains an ARM-Cortex M4F core MCU up to 125MHz, 512KB ROM, 256KB SRAM, expandable FLASH, Wi-Fi MAC/ BB/RF/PA/ LNA. Supports standard IEEE802.11 b/g/n protocol up to 150Mbps, complete TCP/IP protocol stack. Built-in PLL, voltage regulator and power management components. The Raychem 8710 is a complete and self-contained WiFi network solution that can operate independently or as a slave running on other host MCUs. The Raychem 8710 can be booted directly from an external flash memory when it is powered by an application and is the only application processor in the device. The built-in cache helps improve system performance and reduce memory requirements. In another case, the Raychem 8710 is responsible for the wireless access to the WiFi adapter. It can be added to any microcontroller-based design, and the connection is simple and easy, just via SPI / SDIO interface or I2C / The UART port is OK.
